Bradford Speakout is a group which exists to give a voice to homeless people and those who have experienced homelessness.

Bradford Speakout holds and operates within the Groundswell Core Values.

We believe that homeless, poor and excluded people:

• are not 'the problem' – they must be part of the solution
• hold the key to solutions in their experiences and knowledge
• have a right to the information they need to make informed choices about their lives
• can build communities and create positive change by acting together

Bradford Speakout aims to ensure that service users are at the heart of services in reality and to establish an equal partnership between service users, service providers and strategic bodies who make decisions about their lives.

There should be a constructive dialogue between these parties, and Bradford Speakout aims to facilitate this.

We also believe in the benefits of Self Help and look to promote this through facilitating events where service users share their experiences, knowledge and advice with others.

We hope that this website will eventually be an effective channel for information and support between users.
